The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage is the solution for inflation!

The average price for a brand-new vehicle is staggering. A couple of years ago, it was around $35 000, which was still expensive. However, since the most little car has been removed from the market, the average price for a brand-new vehicle is around $45 000 today. That is a lot of money, and it's not even the only thing to consider.

If you need to finance or lease your vehicle like most of us do, you probably noticed interest rates have gone thru the roof lately. And I'm not even talking about gas prices. If you combine everything, you might think owning a vehicle is now a luxury reserved for the rich. However, there are still a few cheaper options on the market, such as the Mitsubishi Mirage.

A true solution

What if I told you you could get a brand new vehicle with a roof that can get you from point A to point B in comfort while meeting all the safety requirements. It sounds too good to be true, right? Well, it isn't. The 2022 Mitsubishi Mirage might not be the most comfortable or practical car in the world. However, with a base price of $14 098 there is not much to complain about. Not only that, but the Mitsubishi Mirage is also one of the best fuel consumptions on the market, with an average of 6.2L/100km. It is better than most hybrids. Finally, the small hatchback has a 10 years/160 000km powertrain warranty. At this point, if you want more, you deserve to pay more.

The Mitsubishi Mirage is one of the least expensive cars you can buy on today's market. Instead of building heavy and expensive electric vehicles, car manufacturers should build more vehicles like the Mirage. Of course, they won't do it because there is way more profit in a $50 000 EV than a $15 000 sub-compact car. Also, there's the political idea that EVs are better for the environment and cost less than a gas car on a long-term basis. This might be true if you compare a gas and EV car for the same price. However, there is no EV under $20 000 right now, which makes the Mitsubishi Mirage a better option overall.

The Japanese sub-compact isn't perfect. Nevertheless, it has everything you need to go where you need to go safely and with some comfort. With average fuel consumption of 5.6L/100km on the highway, the Mitsubishi Mirage is almost as efficient as most hybrid vehicles.

A reference

There are only a few options on the market when it comes to cheap cars, and it is sad. Everything is expensive these days. However, I must thank Mitsubishi for offering a vehicle like the Mirage. The small sub-compact hatchback prices range from $14 098 to $20 398. This should fit pretty much anybody's budget. I sincerely hope Mitsubishi keeps the Mirage as long as possible in its lineup, and believe it or not, but you get quite a lot for such an inexpensive car.
